 Whether you are an author dedicating your time and your words, or a donator, you are ALL amazing.

By donating a minimum of $10 (Which is the minimum for The American Red Cross) or whatever your minimum is in your country (Feel free to donate more than your minimum but that is all we require) you will have access to a compilation of stories and poems by amazing authors.

Please remember that all donation sites may require a different minimum from another. It is usually in a different country. We will accept all donations as long as they are for a hurricane relief. These stories are going to be from all different kinds of fandoms; not just twilight.

So if you want to write for Harry Potter, Hunger Games or write your own original fiction, we need you!

We have decided to use The Red Cross as our organization we will be supporting and you can check out their website here. That link will take you to their donate page and you can choose which option you want to donate to. There is a disaster section for hurricanes, storms and other disasters.

Each year, 13 million children are born too soon, and 1 million of them will not survive their first year. One in four will suffer serious life-long medical complications that jeopardize their chance for a normal childhood.

One week ago, a friend posted her story** on her Facebook wall. Devastated by this news from a deeply-valued reader/supporter/friend, I asked the question so many others have asked: “What can we do for you, K?” Her answer: “I want for nothing for myself. Do you think we could raise money for Stand Up 2 Cancer?” Thus, Stand Up 4 Katalina (SU4K) was born.

 All too often, we are asked to contribute in memory of a friend, such as the tragedy that struck our fandom friend Gisela (Mad4hugh) at Comic Con earlier this year. This time, Katalina is here, in our midst, and because of that, this project is unique.

We’ve dedicated this compilation to Katalina and made this an “All Request Compilation”: each author who signs up will be fulfilling a wish for Katalina—whether an outtake, a new one-shot, or the beginning of a new story.

Each entry will be personally meaningful to Katalina. Let’s pull together and surround her in the cocoon of our love and our support, all the best this fandom has to offer.

Each of us has been touched and devastated by the ravages of cancer, and in order to recognize this, we’re offering the opportunity to dedicate the monetary donations in memory of, or in honor of, a loved one’s battle. “Stand Up 2 Cancer’s mission is to fund collaborative, translational cancer research to bring treatments from the bench to the bedside faster, and save lives now.” So while SU4K is intensely personal, it also offers the vehicle for universal, broad-based support.

We hope you will join us in supporting Katalina and cancer research, whether by contributing a story, your beta or banner skills, and a financial contribution to the cause.

That number is way too high. With the amazing force of the Fandom, we can help raise money that will support programs for those effected by suicide. Donations will go towards support groups, grief centers and suicide prevention and education services.

What do we need from you? Are you an author? Would you like to help but is writing not necessarily your thing? Either way, you can help!

In two months we are going to put a compilation together from authors throughout all genres. You can sign up to donate a one shot, chapter, poem, or a continuation/outtake from a story. There will be a form you can fill out available to you as well.

With your help we can donate to an amazing and beautiful charity, To Write Love on her Arms. With a minimum donation of $5 you can have access to the compilation which will be made available September 13.
